Cafe This Way is definitely my favorite breakfast spot! We went twice as it is THAT amazing! Located in downtown bar harbor, situated in a transformed garage along with an outdoor garden seating, the giant wild Maine blueberry pancakes are to die for! The outdoor seating of course allows for furry friends too.
The Travelin Lobster….best lobster roll of my life…in fact best three because we went three times! Located outside of Bar Harbor, this is your classic Maine lobster shack but with a rather extensive menu compared to others I’ve visited. Be mindful of the hours as they do close around 7pm most nights.
Bar Harbor Lobster Pound, takes a very close second spot for favorite lobster roll. I actually thought the lobster was more tender here and for a bonus it came with crispy French fries. I did think there was less lobster overall than The Traveling Lobster but that was the only drawback. The ambience here is fantastic, set in a cleared out wooded area with picnic tables spread out, overhead twinkle lights, heat lamps when needed and a few yard games setup as well. There is also an indoor area.
Testas Bar & Grill located in downtown bar harbor was a recommendation from a friend and exceeded expectations! We both got lobster Mac n cheese and it was heavenly with PLENTY of lobster which is sometimes surprising. This has both indoor seating and outdoor patio sitting again for pups to tag along!
